The rationale for this work lies in the particularity of the etiology of the wound (sunburn post exposure on mirror, complex post extrication) and the type/complexity of treatment performed in home care setting. Management has led to the achievement of advanced wound healing in a short time, through the use of new types of advanced dressing with high technological impact. These offer, through their different types of function, a variability of treatment in the different aspects of TIME. The use of these new technologically advanced types of dressings (reactive oxygen species-releasing dressings), coupled with a structured and standardized treatment protocol (4-step protocol, Wound Hygiene®), allows the improvement of the quality of care with the possibility of an almost totally home-based management with the condition that the patient is taken care of by a multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary team.
